Was the only place still open Item Reviewed: Catfish, Coleslaw & Shrimp Plate Price Paid: $10-15 Only Place That Was Open
Its 7:45 on a Sunday night and Im looking for somewhere to eat dinner. When it gets late in Ruidoso and a business is empty they close up shop. I tried three restaurants all that were supposed to be open until 8 or 9 but were already closed.
Almost ready to give up we saw the "Open" sign lit up at Lincoln County Grill. We went in and found them cleaning the kitchen, one table had just ordered so we figured we might as well order as well.
I'd driven by the Lincoln County Grill many times, having stayed in Ruidoso at least 10 times it was surprising I hadn't eaten there before.
Wide Selection
The menu comprised of a variety of items, mexican, steaks, seafood, & pastas just to name a few. I ordered the seafood plate that included coleslaw, fish, shrimp, clams and fries.
Good Seafood
When the food came out the plate looked great, it was a lot of food. The fish was tender and fell apart, the coleslaw was good, and Im picky about my slaw. The shrimp were huge and I was impressed by what what served up. The only item I was disappointed with was a condiment, the tartar sauce. I could not finish all the food and took some back to the hotel with me.
Overall Impression
I was happy with the food, they were open when they said they would be, and the prices were fair. Everything ordered tasted great, and the quantity of food was worth the price. I would definitely return to this establishment the next time I visit Ruidoso. Variety: American, Burgers, Homestyle, Mexican, Seafood, Steak Pros: Open Late Cons: |
