Thursday night is sushi night at Nellos. We decided to give it a try since it was recommended by the concierge at our hotel. When we arrived it was moderately full but the waitress said it was packed earlier that evening because of sushi night. The menu had a wide variety of items from NY strip steak to pastas and grilled salmon. I ordered the sushi since apparently that was what was drawing the crowd in.

Our waitress failed to return to our table while we waited for our food. Our glasses were all empty and did not get refilled until after the food arrived. Even then only the water glasses were refilled until one of us asked for refills on the tea. The place was moderately busy and only had 2 waitresses, but if this was the service you get when it's moderately busy, I would assume it would be far worse earlier in the evening. We dined at about 8pm.

As for the food the sushi and tempura vegetables I ordered were very good. The portion of tempura was very large and filling, as it came along with a serving of seasame cucumber salad. The others who dined with me ordered a burger with sweet potatoe fries and a grilled salmon. They commented that the burger was good but had a bad aftertaste and that the salmon was overcooked.

As for my food every thing was good. I would return for sushi night and possibly to try some of the regular menu items like the lasagne or pastas.

The sushi came in orders of 4 and 10 pieces, however they were large rolls. Total cost for my 4 piece sushi & tempura/salad was $13.

I would recommend this restaurant specifically for sushi night.

Variety: American, Bar, CoffeeHouse, Italian, Japanese, Seafood, Steak

Pros: Good atmosphere, good location

Cons: A little pricey, slow service when busy
